		<title>Latest messages on &apos;My Experience with Tidal: Why I Left After Five Days&apos; thread</title>
		<link>http://www.holyfamily.tw/Forum/%E5%A5%BD%E6%96%87%E5%88%86%E4%BA%AB/my-experience-with-tidal-why-i-left-after-five-days-294/</link>
		<description>I recently gave Tidal a try in an attempt to explore its high-fidelity audio offerings, eager to test out its CD-quality streams and claim my spot as an audiophile. As someone who works on reviewing headphones and earbuds for TechRadar, I was curious to see if Tidal could live up to its reputation for superior sound. But after just five days, I found myself heading back to Spotify, and not even my full trial period was up. Here&#39;s why Tidal didn’t work for me, despite its high-res promise.
 &#160;
  Playlist Struggles: Migrating My Spotify Library to Tidal
 I’ve been using Spotify for over a decade, creating countless playlists along the way, and transferring all of them to Tidal was a major hassle. Tidal does offer ways to move playlists over, but they limit you to 500 songs for free—anything beyond that requires a paid service. With well over 5,000 songs across many playlists, I spent more time trying to recreate my old playlists than actually enjoying new music. I did manage to transfer about eight playlists, but the process quickly became frustrating, and I realized that I just didn’t want to invest more time on Tidal’s clunky playlist management. In the end, I simply stuck to Spotify for most of my music, where everything was already sorted.
 &#160;
  Annoying Buffering and Lagging During Playback
 Tidal’s buffering issues made it nearly impossible to enjoy a seamless listening experience. Streaming hi-res music requires a lot of bandwidth, but even basic tracks would often buffer for a few seconds before playing. This was especially inconvenient during workouts or when I was trying to multitask. I couldn’t afford to wait for the next song to start while I was lifting weights or doing other activities. The app’s slow load times and frequent interruptions ultimately killed the flow of my music sessions.
 &#160;
  Technical Glitches and Frustrating App Behavior
 Beyond the buffering, Tidal’s app also suffered from numerous bugs. The PC app frequently switched my audio output, often to devices I never used, disrupting the music playback. I had to stop what I was doing and adjust settings multiple times before the music would play correctly. For a service that prides itself on high-resolution audio, these technical glitches were a huge letdown. It was difficult to enjoy the quality of Tidal’s sound when the app itself was constantly causing issues. By comparison, Spotify provided a stable, user-friendly experience that I could rely on.
